The Nestmed app works without internet. Everything functions normally—recording audio, taking photos, completing documentation. Data is stored encrypted on the device using iOS Keychain or Android Keystore.
All core features remain available. You can record visits, capture images, fill out forms, and access previously synced patient information. The app keeps everything in encrypted local storage until connectivity returns.
When internet returns, the app uploads everything automatically in the background. Clinical documentation goes first, then audio for AI processing, then images. Files are deleted from the device immediately after successful upload—no patient data accumulates locally.
All data remains encrypted in iOS Keychain or Android Keystore while offline. If a device is lost, the encryption prevents unauthorized access. Once uploaded, all patient data is removed from the device.
