The Voice Assistant lets clinicians interact with Nestmed through natural conversation, providing hands-free documentation and information access before and after visits.

Core Functions

Pre-Visit Preparation: Review patient information and documentation requirements before the visit begins. Ask “What’s the care plan for today?” or “Any recent hospitalizations?” to prepare efficiently. Post-Visit Documentation: After completing the visit, use voice commands to finalize documentation. Say “Add wound measurement 2 by 3 centimeters” or describe observations while they’re fresh in memory. Task Management: Complete documentation tasks by voice between visits. “Mark blood pressure as completed” or “Add fall risk assessment” helps clear pending items without manual entry.

How It Works

Activate the assistant with “Hey Nestmed” or the push-to-talk button. It maintains context throughout your documentation session, so you don’t need to repeat the patient’s name. The system distinguishes between clinical documentation and conversational asides. The assistant works in 23 languages, matching our voice documentation capabilities. Speak in any supported language and get responses in that language while documentation generates in English.

Practical Use

Before visits, ask for patient information and review care plans. After completing a wound assessment, narrate your observations for documentation. Between visits, query upcoming appointments. At day’s end, use voice commands to review and submit pending documentation. The system works offline for core functions. All voice interactions are encrypted and HIPAA compliant, with no permanent voice storage.
